Hello Friends, Family & Fellow Co-Workers (hopefully!),

Welcome to my blog/resume/invitation into my life.  This blog is intended to give you a picture into my daily life and help you learn more about me.

First, I live in Fort Worth, Texas and I am married to a Budget Analyst that goes by the name of Eric.  Eric and I have been married for a little over two years.  My husband graduated from TCU (Go Frogs!) and just finished his MBA from UTA (Go Mavericks!).  Together we are raising our first dog, a Weimaraner named Story.  Those of you who have met Story or this particular breed know I am not kidding about the ‘raising’ part. She is truly a mess.  As of May 13th, I am officially a graduate from UTA (Go Mavericks!).

I recently finished my last semester of college and I am now searching for a teaching position. My final semester of school, consisted of two classes and my student teaching.  I completed my student teaching in HEB ISD, where I student taught 4th grade for 9 weeks and then switched to 1st grade for the rest of the semester.  This was whirlwind of a semester, but I love teaching and I know it is my calling.  At the end of the week I feel like I have made a difference and that is unlike any other job I have ever had.  Now the job hunt is on!

Eric and I love to travel.  We have been so blessed as to see several places since we’ve been married in the U.S., including New York City, Destin, Las Vegas (including the GRAND Canyon), San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Chicago.  We recently went on our first international vaca to Europe. We went to Rome, Paris, and Barcelona and it was a great trip!

You may wonder, why so many places? How can you afford it?  Eric and I are little savers (or I should say Eric is very cheap!), either way we think traveling opens our eyes to God’s creation and gives us insight into what life is like outside the U.S.
